New York African Film Festival 2024. Since its inception in 1993, the festival has been at the forefront of showcasing african and diaspora filmmakers’ unique storytelling through the moving image. Paying homage to early african cinema, as well as celebrating modern masterpieces, nyaff31 is both a zeitgeist of the past, and a hologram of the future.
The 31st edition of the new york african film festival (nyaff) launched wednesday and will showcase over 90 films from more than 30 countries, with complimentary screenings at three collaborating venues: The new york film festival in particular constellates much of what one aspires toward through filmic production.
